Dedication

Worship skaterboards has always held an open door policy toward the art and graphic design used to represent the company. We hope to allow artists the opportunity to express themselves using the skateboard as an alternative to their chosen path. Freedom is contagious. Feel free to contact us.

Artist: Joe Baker
aka JOEB
Medium: Oil

As the story goes, we receive inquiries from time to time regarding submissions for deck art from various talented artists. Joe was not one of these people. He had never even heard of Worship skateboards. This was all about to change. One inquiry was fascinating but not exactly what we wanted and at that time Joe's link was found at this other artists site. After perusing Mr. Baker's work I contacted him about possibly using some of his pieces. The depth and power of his work is testament to his convictions. I was later made aware that the particular paintings I had wanted to use were of some rather profound significance. These pieces were painted through tears of joy and pain as Joe dealt with the loss of his recently departed friend Scott Stamnes. It is here that the true story lies. I can say that I barely know Joe Baker and I have only spoken to Scott's father, Cptn. Mike, but twice. However what I do know is that Scott Stamnes touched everyone that his life intertwined with. The stories of his immense spirit are endless. His compassion and love for humanity made him a living saint in the eyes of all who knew him well. The ability to touch peoples souls is a gift rarely shared so freely. It is with great pleasure that we present this latest series from Joe Baker. Scott Stamnes lives on in the heart of freedom and those who live to be free.
