Artist Biography
Gary Jacobs is an artist living and working in Hartford, CT. He taught for many years at the Hartford Art School, University
of Hartford, and the Corcoran School of Art, Washington, DC. He has received numerous awards and considerable recognition
for his work ranging from tight realism to highly stylized subjects and has shown extensively on the east coast. Highlights
include Cowparade New York 2000, Paintings from The Third Testament, Real Art Ways, 2000 and inclusion in Contemporary American
Oil Painting, Jilin Fine Arts Publishing, 1999.
MFA, Brooklyn College, NY, 1991.
BFA, Summa Cum Laude, Hartford Art School, 1988, with courses at the La Napoule Foundation, France, and the Brugge Academy
of Fine Art, Belgium.
